If you have ever watched the movie "Steel Magnolias", then you have heard of '...blush and bashful...'. This yarn represents the camaraderie of women and their friendships, no matter their differnces.
My local wool grower friend, Kami Noyes of Ranching Tradition Fiber and I joined our two farms to create this wonderful base blend. It is 50% alpaca fiber and 50% Targhee Wool that our local wool mill made into a lovely roving. I dyed it with three colors and then spin into this skein. It is truely a MADE in MONTANA product.
"Blush and Bashful" exhibits various shades of pinks with a hint of light rust mingled in amoungst the shiney fibers that the targhee wool brings to this fiber friendship. I handspun this skein into a 8 wpi- Aran weight yarn of 166 yards (4.5 oz).
This dye lot and spin weight yielded three skeins. Please take a look so that you don't miss out on the proper yardage you will need for that special project.
#2 "Blush and Bashful" Handspun Alpaca/Wool Yarn
Please wash in cold water with Wool lite or Dawn soap, roll up in a towel to gently press water out and then air dry. Like all animal fibers, felting and shrinking can occur if handled any other way.
