Have you ever wanted to learn how to spin your own yarn? It's fun, it's relaxing, and this class will show you how.

In this 6 hour beginners class, you'll learn about wheels, spinning methods, best fiber for beginning spinners, and basic wheel maintenance. In the morning, we'll start with getting to know the wheel and how it works. After lunch, we'll move on to spinning singles and then plying. By the time you leave, you will have a basic understanding of your wheel and the skills to start spinning on your own.

Skill level: no experience required-beginners welcome as well as those needing a refresher.

What to bring: can bring your own spinning wheel in good working order with at least 3 empty bobbins and a lazy kate. No worries, if you don't have these items, we can supply a limited number. Please comment that you do not have a spinning wheel at checkout or email Betty at snowdriftalpacas@gmail.com.

Materials included: 2-3 oz of prepared fiber for spinning in class, a WPI tool, and a resource guide with handouts, tips and tricks. Additional supplies can be purchased at end of class for an additional fee.
